Phil has been a practicing physical therapist for 17 years and specializes in biomechanical and gait analysis and custom orthotic intervention. Phil has a master’s degree in physical therapy from Hahnemann (now Drexel) University in Philadelphia, and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Colorado. He is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Phil is the author of “Stretching for Functional Flexibility” (Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins 2008) which is being used as a reference text in many schools across the country.
Outside of work, Phil is an avid skier and teaches alpine, telemark, and cross country skate and
classic techniques. He is presently the training director for the Outdoors for All Nordic ski school and a Division Clinic Leader for the Professional Ski Instructors of America. He also enjoys backcountry skiing, hiking climbing, kayaking and sailing and enjoys working with related injuries.
